Coloring Page TUESDAY: Easter 2019
Sometimes, even the Easter Bunny has to research for inspiration. CLICK HERE for more coloring pages.
Remember, I create my coloring pages to draw your attention to my books! For instance...
my latest picture book, Crow Not Crow - written by New York Times Best-selling author Jane Yolen and Adam Stemple. Kirkus calls it "a solid choice for introducing the hobby [birdwatching] to younger readers."

If my news and images add value to your life, won't you please

There are a few books on writing that stand out as truly life-changing. For instance, Stephen King's On Writing, Jane Yolen's Touch Magic, Ann Lamott's Bird By Bird, and now Philip Pullman's Daemon Voices: Essays on Storytelling from David Fickling Books. CLICK HERE to read more about it.

WEDNESDAY: Come study Picture Books in the Appalachian Mountains!
This summer I'll be leading a curated picture book reading workshop (teachers may be able to get credit!) at the gorgeous Hollins University. We have hundreds of picture books to browse through, including this year's submissions for the annual Margaret Wise Brown Prize. These are the most recent picture books sent in by publishers each year. So, teachers, you can stay up-to-date on the latest hits! Come immerse yourself in your reading passions, but also enjoy strolls around campus, petting horsey noses, the charming farmers market in downtown Roanoke, and the cameraderie in this bubble of joy we call our home each summer. You'll want to come every year! CLICK HERE to learn more!

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
"You can never leave footprints that last if you are always walking on tiptoe."

Welcome New Subscribers!
In the tradition of Romper Room's Magic Mirror - I'm grateful to my new subscribers! This week, I see Susan and Theresa and Jean and Helen and Kareena from the Logan Library and Natalie from the Fairfax County Public Schools! Welcome - I'm glad you're here!
Did you know that I'm happy for librarians and teachers (and booksellers) to use my images to decorate their spaces or use on free handouts? All I ever ask in return is that you please "check out" my books to see if any might be a good fit with your readers. And I love it when you share your creations with me to add to my blog!
If you still have any questions about usage of my images, visit my angel policy page or email me at elizabeth at dulemba dot com.

BECAUSE WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO ...
My protest images are available on items in MY ZAZZLE STORE to help you speak up about what you believe in. This is how I add my voice to the cause.
