Culture in the Capitol - 28th National Biennial of Visual Arts at the Museo de Arte Moderno RD
The 28th National Biennial of Visual Arts is currently on display at the Museo de Arte Moderno RD in Santo Domingo. Works of art from talented Dominican artists are on display until November 17th, 2015. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. a 5:00 p.m. Admission is 50 pesos for adults, and 20 pesos for students (with ID) and children.

FEDUJAZZ Music Programs for Local Youth Gaining Momentum
FEDUJAZZ Dominican Republic, based in Cabarete, is currently providing over one hundred and twenty students with free music education and training through their program. The new center opened in Cabarete in February 2015, and is seeking donations to purchase new music equipment for their classes, with a goal raising $5,000 USD by September 15, 2015.
Hundreds of children benefit annually from the free workshops given by internationally renowned musicians during the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival, many of which are GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY Award winners.
