Happy Holidays Quilters,
I hope that everyone had a joyous Christmas with family and friends. (And finished all of those Christmas gifts that I know a lot of you were making). My Christmas was wonderful, and over much too quickly. I got to spend time with children, grandchildren, and friends. Remember those 3 granddaughters that we were blessed with earlier this year? Well, they are growing and getting around very quickly. They have to keep up with the older grandchildren. I don’t think there was a quiet room in the house once we were all there.
Thank you to all of you who sent cards and dropped off plates of goodies. We certainly enjoyed all of it.
Mary and I have been hard at work on our class samples for next year. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to work on everything you need or want to. Usually I am piecing one project, thinking how I’m going to quilt another project, and have about 50 more that I would like to work on. From talking with our quilting friends I am not alone. I think the comment we hear most is, I have to finish some projects before I can start another one. In my world that lasts until I see some fabric I just have to have or a pattern that I just have to make. Sound familiar?
Here is a picture of the Ozark table topper being taught as a one day class in January.
Ozark Table Topper
I finished this in the amount of time you will have for the class.
Anyway, back to class samples. We should have a few of the class samples up for our sale on the first of January. Be sure to look around the shop for them when you come in. I think we just about have something for everyone this year, from beginner to advanced; from traditional piecing to paper piecing; from machine appliqué to hand appliqué and anything else you can think of. We are really excited about our classes this year. Mary and I have decided that travelling is not all it’s cracked up to be, so we are devoting our time to teaching, something we both love to do. (Our husbands appreciate us not travelling also.)
We look forward to seeing you all on the first, teaching you new techniques, helping you choose the perfect fabric, and seeing your finished products. As we have said before and will continue to say, we have the best customers in the world.
God Bless all of you in the coming year,
Happy Quilting,
Holly and Mary
