Museum to scale 1/7
The museum to scale is a contemporary version of the Wunderkammern that were the forerunners of the modern museum. In the first phase, 50 rooms will be presented for view. Historic ensembles around symbolism, surrealism, photography, Cobra, abstract and minimal art - these comprise the introduction for the section on Belgian art, where contemporary artists will each have a room with original work, from painting to complete installations. Upon completion of a second phase, presenting works from international artists, an illustrated collection-catalogue will be published, and the museum to scale will travel to museums in Belgium and abroad.
With Pierre Alechinsky, Karel Appel, Elke Boon, Karin Borghouts, Peter De Cupere, Denmark, Robert Devriendt, René Magritte, Wesley Meuris, Kelly Schacht, Panamarenko, Rinus Van de Velde, Paul van Hoeydonck, Stephan Vanfleteren, Koen Vanmechelen, Angel Vergara and many others.
Curator of the photographymuseum to scale is Mr. Xavier Canonne (Director of the Musée de la Photographie Charleroi(B).
The museum to scale is on view for the first time at BRAFA (Brussels Antique and Fine Arts Fair), Tour & Taxis Brussels, January 21-29.
