Fashion Forward with a Conscious

Knitting Peace prepares for its next trip to Bolivia:
On January 25th, I will be initiating my third trip to Bolivia with the intention of continuing my work with the Knitting Peace team, which consists of incarcerated women in La Paz.

Knitting Peace will continue to provide poverty alleviation opportunities to incarcerated women in Bolivia, by co-creating with them high quality, hand knit Alpaca Products.

The Knitting Peace team has shared their enthusiasm for the products we are co-creating, and they are looking forward to expanding our production capacity and product line.

This year we will be expanding our product line to include:

Infinity Scarves
 Long Cardigans
and more...

All of our new products will continue to be hand knit in Alpaca fiber by our team of incarcerated women in Bolivia.

The success of Knitting Peace since its launch has been due in great part to the word of mouth spread by our supporters.

The Knitting Peace team has expressed their gratitude to you all, and they are looking forward to continuing to provide you with opportunities to reach out to them, through the beautiful products they make. All of our products are made with gratitude, hope and pride.

Manuela Caspa and her grandson

Manuela, one of our team members wrote: "I am very grateful for the opportunity to work, and all the support given to us women and our children in the jail.  With the money earned I am able to support myself, my grand children and pay for a  lawyer. I hope that we will continue to knit for Knitting Peace and that the company may continue to grow."

Thank you for assisting Manuela in being empowered and sustainable.

In loving gratitude,

Sonia Gallardo
Founder of Knitting Peace
