GIA Update
Recently I sent an email to members and friends with two important points.

The first is that GIA is changing the way we operate to better serve the Italian community. We're introducing change that will see GIA become a federation of Italian youth organisations around the country. That'll mean local youth organisations from every State and Territory will be able to join GIA and have the support, strength, communication and publicity channels of our active national youth network.

Our new structure is out for consultation. In late September we'll call an SGM for late October (more details to follow) where members will have the opportunity to vote on the proposed changes.

If you haven't already done so, I'd encourage you to give us your thoughts on the following documents (available online or by clicking the link below).
The second point relates to the Forum. There will be an SGM in late October this year to introduce these changes. The SGM will also be a good catch up and social opportunity. We won't have a Forum this year as we're working to improve the way we run to better serve the Italian community. This will mean the Forum in 2011 will be bigger and better than ever before.

I encourage you to check out our website www.gia.org.au for the latest information. If you have any questions, comments or would like to give us your suggestions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Thanks for reading the September edition of GIA News,
