You can also find me here...
...here..
...And this month you'll also find me puzzling over how I can replicate the magic by which nature turns brown gunk into daffodils...

"You must be used to this...
... right?" people keep saying, as I step out onto the frosty pavement.
Uhm. No mate. Well. Yes. But. No. It is 30 degrees celsius in London right now. Or was.  Our few weeks of Summer and where am I? Back in Winter.  The sight of bare branches on the trees is distinctly unsettling.
I took a walk up the hill behind where I am staying and found myself in the company of about eight kangaroos, nestled in the grass.  Also not the usual, eh?  Although we do have a few wallabies in Golders Hill Park I suppose...

This morning I was up at 6am for a radio interview on ABC and found, once again on this land, some really smart questions being levelled my way about the responsibilities of the storyteller to know the past on which they tread.  Seems that many Australians are painfully aware of the damage inflicted on indigenous peoples by colonialism.  And many aboroginal peoples are well known for having stories that are only to be told for and by specific people.
Noone asks this question much in the UK.  Makes sense doesn't it? That there are some stories we can't fully understand unless we have lived them ourselves.

In July I will be back in the UK for festival season.
If you are coming to Latitude Festival, please come along to the second ever performance of London Stone (Scroll down for more info). We'd love some friendly faces in the crowd.

All my love and appreciation for your support,

RRRx
