Happy Holidays from the Prominence Development Team!

As the 2011 holidays approach, we wanted to take some time out to wish all of our fans and friends the very best this season. We thank you for your support and look forward to bringing you an intriguing and thoughtful science-fiction adventure in 2012 when Prominence releases for Windows PCs.

Tech and Polish
I could happily describe in detail some of the exciting things that have gone on behind the scenes here, such as the adaptive display system that automatically runs Prominence at most native desktop resolutions rather than reverting to a single resolution; or the new resource system that dynamically loads game content on a room-by-room basis, significantly reducing the memory footprint and allowing more low-end computers to run the game than ever before; or the shader technology that we're using to take advantage of graphics hardware acceleration without compromising on image quality; or, well, you get the idea...

Beta Test and Feedback
Probably the biggest news worth sharing is that unbeknownst to most of the world, the game swiftly and silently entered beta testing phase in October. We wanted to make sure that we did it right, so we approached a cadre of experienced adventure game players -- all of whom had previously tested one or more adventure titles -- and let them run wild through the first chapter of gameplay. Their responses completely exceeded our expectations:

"Simply stunning."

"I was particularly impressed that I was very quickly intrigued by what the story might be about."

"I have to say bravo to the creators of Prominence. I can't wait to play the full game! I think the puzzles were fair, you don't need to be a rocket scientist to solve them and for me, that's alpha and omega for a good adventure game."

"Everything you do in the game makes perfect sense, and there were no 'weird' uses of inventory items or anything like that."

"Your attention to detail is amazing."

"[The] sound effects are superb. My husband who was working in another room even commented about them, asking what I was playing as it sounded very interesting."

We're excited to see how quickly the remaining builds and testing can proceed as we move into 2012. If you are an adventure fan who is looking forward to playing the game, we're thrilled to say that we're working to make the game the very best that it can be and we have some fun surprises in store for you in the coming year!

Enjoy the holidays and we'll see you in 2012!
