GIGS - New York City:

This saturday, we'll be at a new venue for us on the west side, called P&G's ... I just saw my friend Jon Herington there last week, doing a birthday gig, and it has a great sounding room, and a great crowd. The owner seems to be dedicated towards bringing great music to the upper west side...

I have a couple of gigs at my daughter's school, Cathedral, playing with a bunch of ringers - mostly musicians from Broadway shows - and this year, we're doing a musical based on Elvis tunes! (I actually worked with an Elvis impersonator back in the 80's, who - upon my asking him if putting together his Elvis persona was challenging - jumped up and sternly told me, "I live, eat, drink, sleep, and think Elvis... Now you got something to tell your grandchildren." What an experience, albeit kind of freaky...) The other Cathedral gig is the annual Spring Fair - at which I have coordinated the live entertainment over the past 7 years... we'll be featuring some great guest singers, and the core group from my band, The Paul Peress Project. (We'll be doing our set of my band's tunes at 1PM)...

Just got called to play on some more tracks on Lizzie Swann's upcoming Swingset Mama's CD, at Carriage House!!! The last session was great, and I'm looking forward to working with Lizzie, Scott Spray, Alec Head, and Johnny Montagnese...

Kansas City, MO:

I'll be heading out west along with Glenn Alexander, and we have a stopover in Kansas City where we're playing at the Writers Place, sandwiched in between a bunch of great poetry readings, and then the next night, I'm doing a CD release concert at KC's premier jazz venue, Jardine's... I actually lived in KC for my last two years of highschool, so I have lots of old friends to connect with... It's coined the "City of Fountains", and is one of America's prettiest places...Cannot wait!!!

Seal Beach, CA:

SPAGHETTINI JAZZ CLUB is one of my favorite venues, and I'm amped to share my new CD with all my friends down there... I've always been tremendously received there, and it is awesome to play for a room full of such great music lovers.... The band is a dream lineup, featuring four of us musicians from "Can't Let Go", plus the amazing Michael Paulo on sax... Three of us are flying out from the East coast, so it's an East-Meets-West kind of thing. Bill Cantos - who tore it up on the title tune, is singing and playing keys, guitar god, Glenn Alexander, is coming down from NJ and bassist extraordinaire, Gerald Veasley, is making the ride from Philly... countin' the days!

Hollywood, CA:

BAKE POTATO is THE jazz venue in Hollywood, and has a great history of featuring cats like Tom Scott (played there with him in '08), Brandon Fields, Robben Ford, Vinny Calaiuta.... Can't wait to hit there as well!!! Glenn is on the hit, along with my friend Mitch Forman on keys, and we shall be stretching way out and bringing our NYC jazz kind of thang to the club...
