Help support our important work this World Environment Day
Thank you for your ongoing support of our work to protect the rivers, forests, oceans and other special places in NSW. Now more than ever, it is crucial we continue our conservation and preservation efforts, and fend off the pressure for further development at the expense of precious habitats and wildlife.
We rely on donations from passionate individuals like you to fund our vital environmental work. Please consider giving generously today so we can work together towards a more sustainable future.
Or why not share your passion for the environment and inspire a friend, colleague or loved one with a special message today? You can send a beautiful, personalised e-greeting card and help raise funds for the Nature Conservation Council of NSW.

NSW joins national woodchip disruption
Woodchip activities across NSW, Tasmania and Victoria were shutdown by conservationists late last month in a national day of action against the environmental damage caused by the native forest woodchipping industry.
Conservationists are outraged at the Federal Government's failure to address the role of native forests in dealing with the climate crisis and are calling on Prime Minister Kevin Rudd to protect Australia’s forest from export woodchipping.
One of the first targets of action was the Eden chipmill in NSW's South East where an activist stopped the delivery of logs by locking herself to the access gate. Activists report chipmill managers were forced to cut a hole in their own fence and direct trucks overland on rough ground to by-pass the blockade.
See more photos from the blockade here .

Giant shark fin delivers strong message to Peter Garrett
Last month, the Nature Conservation Council delivered a giant handmade shark fin to the electoral office of the Federal Minister for the Environment, Peter Garrett, in protest at the unsustainable practice of shark fin exports.
The fin was placed outside the Minister’s office along with hundreds of postcards signed by concerned members of the public.
Take a look at some great photos of the action outside of Minister Garrett's electoral office here.
You can help end unsustainable shark fishing by joining our call for a ban on shark fin exports from Australia. Send a cyberaction asking Federal Minister for the Environment, Peter Garrett, to protect these vulnerable marine icons by clicking here .
