JOPLIN needs YOU!
Here is where I highlight a new movie or TV show that brings a smile to my face and warmth to my heart. However, this month I'm challenging all of us to create our own HAPPY ENDING movie, our own SWEET TV SHOW series...what's the theme? - Joplin, Missouri.
I'm encoura ging all of you to get involved in raising funds to send to Convoy of Hope, Samaritan's Purse, the Red Cross, or for a group of you to physically drive to Joplin and help the tornado survivors get the food, clothing and prayer they need after the worst tornado in six decades literally destroyed this city last Sunday, May 22nd.
I went to volunteer there yesterday and it literally looked like an atomic bomb was dropped on the city. Never seen anything like it. Yet, many people where there to comfort the ones who lost their family, friends and homes in the blink of an eye. This is little Joseph who survived the twister. A group of us brought over supplies and a bag of books and toys for this cute little man. I knew I would return home a changed person. The stories shared will NEVER be forgotten.

Book Project Begins
After 8 long years of dreaming about my first book idea that's been crammed in the back of my mind, I'm FINALLY putting my thoughts down on paper...or on keyboard. Luckily I kept a journal
while working in LA so I have a lot of the details of the Hollywood years on record.
If you have any major topics you want covered in this creation, please email me @ tina@tinamarielive.com and I will consider it for the book project. It will be geared toward life in LA, making wise media choices, and how celebrities live opposite lifestyles of what they promote. In addition, there will be a ton of info on WHERE you can get help for loved ones, or even your self on destructive behaviors and addictions that are promoted in entertainment.
I am looking forward to exposing a lot of what the media tries to HIDE from it's viewers.

FAST FACTS
Kids are told in school, by friends and through advertisements that condoms are SAFE. However, I believe SAFE is a deceiving term. In Webster's Dictionary, safe means "free from risk, absolutely sure." Condoms are NOT 100% free from risk. It gives young people the false hope that they will not get an STD or get pregnant if they wear a condom.
Something to think about. Doctors wear AT LEAST two pairs of latex gloves before doing any surgery. This helps protect them from any possible blood contamination.  However, a SINGLE latex glove is FIVE TIMES the thickness of a condom! Our kids need to know that abstinence is the best way to honor their body and their future spouse!
