The BBC has accepted that it made a 'lapse' in news judgement on its flagship Radio 4 Today programme by failing to report on Israeli attacks which killed nine Palestinians.

The UN is now considering Palestine's request for recognition. Obama’s speech to the UN was ‘a clear indication of support for Israeli interests’. Reports suggest that the vote will be delayed. PSC's Kamel Hawwash has written of the UK's  responsibility to support Palestine >>

Hundreds gathered close to Downing Street to support the Palestinians' ahead of the UN debate, including PSC members and supporters and trade unionists. Meanwhile, the Zionist Federation held a much smaller counter-rally, highlighting the strange and growing alliance between Zionists, the Christian-right and English nationalists.
 
Philharmonic Four: London Philharmonic decision rocks the classical world
Mike Leigh and Ken Loach were amongst the 117 artists to condemn the London Philharmonic’s (LPO's) decision to suspend four musicians for signing a letter opposing the Israel Philharmonic’s performance at the Proms >>
Hundreds of posts criticising the LPO decision were posted on the LPO’s facebook page – their response was to remove and then block all comments.
Sarah Colborne, PSC Director, asked in the Guardian ‘"Would the London Philharmonic Orchestra have punished musicians speaking out against apartheid South Africa, when a similar call for boycott was supported by artists, performers and sports people internationally?’
