December 11, 2009
Dear BajaInsider Subscriber:
December weather has a bit more of a nip in the air, with the cooler mid day high temps in the upper 70's and low
80's in Baja Sur. Winter snowbird folks returning to Baja are finding it a great time to enjoy the
outdoors.
For
travelers this season, our friends at
Hotel Mar de Cortez in downtown Cabo
San Lucas are offering summer rates for select weeks in December 2009 and
January 2010. it is a great time to escape the cold up north and have some
fun in Cabo.
Take a look at the state of
Baja
California Real Estate with this seasonal overview of the market.
Things have changed, but there are lots of things still happening in the
market and significant projects that continue to make progress. Now may be
the right time for you to invest. Also, check out our
Baja Real Estate Section. for lots
of real estate information and a realtor directory.
We continue our
Log from
the Sea of Cortez, aboard the Defiant. Unfortunately, our reports are
no longer 'live' and the journey has been successfully completed. But we
will continue to published chapters of the log so you can follow along
with the voyage and adventures of sailing the Sea. In this episode we
explore Isla San Francisco, Isla San Jose and Amortajada. We end up
sitting out a north wind in San Evaristo. Take a video ride in a high
speed inflatable through the mangroves and sail on deck across the Sea.
We
have also added a new button, shown above, to the BajaInsider to allow you to share your
favorite stories with your Facebook, MySpace, Blog and
many other
services with a click. Located above the "Latest Stories" in the right hand
blue column you are just one click away from sharing our stories with
interested friends.
We have also changed our weather pages for the winter season
and we look northward for our influences. You will find our North America
Surface Chart, temperatures, satellites and forecasts on our
Baja Weather page. We keep our
Mexican Surface Chart, Sea Surface Temperatures and satellite imagery on our
Tropical Watch page. Also see our
Live La Paz Weather Station from CostaBaja Resort in La Paz.
