Tip of the week:
Blur but not all
I disovered this feature quite by accident this week. If you like fantasy look in a layout, or just to add a soft look to a photo, you probably have tried to add a soft blur, but that does exactly what it says: it blurs everything and you kind of loose some details, as if the photo was in the fog. Well, i found that you can have some blur but still keep the edges more definite. Simply put, try this: Adjust > Add/Remove Noise > Edge Preserving smooth. Yeah, who would have guessed to look in the Add/Remove Noise to find a blurring tool? See the subtle difference:

Any idea?
Remember that if you suggest one idea and i end up creating a script for it, you might get the script free to try, give your input and keep. This JPGBleed script was suggested by Nauseen. She got to play with it before anyone else! You can enjoy a free product too. So put on your thinking cap and send me your suggestions!

Product Reviews
This week, i had the pleasure of receiving a couple of reviews from Jaguarwoman who had purchased some of my tubes. Here is what she had to say:
(about the rope tubes) This is a GENIUS product. I have infinite uses for it. It's so great, I wish I had thought of it and had the skills to create it. And I don't say that very often!
(about the gold chains tubes) This is another fabulous tool, I love it even more than the brain/cord tube. I can not understate how much usage I can get out of this tool. I tried it as fast as I could after buying it and had to yell at my husband to come and see. He's in the know about graphics and he instantly saw the value in this product AND HE WISHED I HAD THOUGHT IT UP! Bowing down! Bowing down!

With school starting, you might have some pictures of your little one on her first day, or maybe you are a teacher looking forward to this school year? either way, these text path could become very useful to you. As you know, PSP does not have the function to keep text within a given shape, but those paths get you half way there. You can use those paths on their own, with a little work but you can also get the matching Text Wrapping script that will do all the calculation and aligning for you.
You can get this set here.
I think there are chances that i will create more themed text path in the future. If you can think of an interesting theme, dont hesitate to suggest it!

Look at this lovely layout made by Nadine. She used one of the school theme path.
She used Merkeley Designs' Hey Lady and It's Pink kits.

Did you ever notice those three puzzle scripts? I am sure you have done (or wanted to do) puzzles with filters, or overlays, but those will not give you the flexibility to move the pieces around, unless you chose to extract the pieces one by one. These three scripts will work on any size of pictures, and will place each piece on a separate layer so you can move them, rotate them or delete them at will.
