DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN
ROLO TOMASSI
OCT 27 - SOUTHAMPTON UNI
As passionate about their craft as ever, DEP are looking to ramp up things even more in 2010, with a planet-beating touring campaign that includes basement shows, a stint on the main stage at this summer’s Vans Warped Tour, a performance at the legendary Cochella festival, and various points in between. But after 12 years of deliberately challenging themselves, as well as the preconceived notions of critics and the strict genre-specific zealots of the world’s underground music scenes, the big question remains: What is the mission of the Dillinger Escape Plan? It’s a question Weinman addresses with equal parts melancholy, unwavering determination and humor. “I’ve been trying for a while to have someone explain that to me,” he says, laughing. “Seriously, Option Paralysis represents why we’re here and why we’re still making music. We started at a time when there wasn’t all this access to the larger world. Our only goal was to make a small dent in the scene that we were in. The fact we’ve made it this far and that we’re still relevant is really special to me. I feel that it is extremely important for bands like us to continue to represent the ethic and attitude that was present during a time that doesn't exist anymore."

VOIVOD /
NASHVILLE PUSSY AUGUST 8 - JOINERS
Canada's progressive metal legends team up with the dirty southern rock lords and ladies of Nashville Pussy with undoubtedly spectacular results
Voivod are a progressive metal band from Jonquiere, Quebec, Canada, with a very distinct sound. Formed by Denis “Piggy” D’Amour, Michel “Away” Langevin and Jean-Yves “Blacky” Theriault. They blend thrash with some progressive rock with lyrics leaning heavily on sci-fi imagery.
Nashville Pussy on the other hand are dirty stoner southern groove, they are known for their shameless promotion of hard liquor, dirty sex, drugs and filthy rock ‘n’ roll.

In the early days of Overgrown Eden, InMe were labelled by many as 'nu-metal', but upon the release of White Butterfly, it became clear that the band had matured. Early performances of tracks off Daydream Anonymous have suggested to many that InMe may be heading back slightly towards the music heard in Overgrown Eden. It could be argued that InMe's music style on Daydream Anonymous is more progressive and technical. With Herald Moth the band elaborated everything that was Daydream Anonymous and took it to a much more extreme level with technical riffs, progressive structures and epic melodies, which according to many fans showed off a much more focused, mature and sophisticated band. This has also been applauded by many critics claiming that InMe could very well become future pioneers.

STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO AUGUST 24 - TALKING HEADS
The elite ska veterans that comprise STREETLIGHT MANIFESTO reconvened in 2007 to create one of the most celebrated ska albums of that year. This Victory Records mainstay has been burning up the genre for years, but its latest roster of talented musicians is filling out the name in a whole new way. Lead vocalist and guitarist Tomas Kalnoky has assembled a skilled party of horns, percussion and guitars with an unrelenting tempo and toe-tapping urgency. Along with founding member and sax dynamo Jim Conti, this fluid integration of ska, punk and reggae comes to a peak on the band’s latest installment, Somewhere In The Between.
