Artists, venues,

getting themselves ready for October's artistic explosion.

Sculpture event finds a new home
Introducing...
RIPE:
Sculpture at Cupitt's Winery
We are very please to announce
that Cupitt's will be the new host of the Escape ARTfest Sculpture
Exhibition. Following in the footsteps of Sculpture in the Forest,
RIPE
will showcase local and visiting sculpture with a focus on larger,
outdoor works.
Local sculptor Davida Penny will
be coordinating the exhibition. Expressions of interest from artists
are welcome. You mail reply email at this stage. More details will
be released with the next update.
Cupitt's Winery, in conjunction
with Angus & Robertson Bookstore will be offering a $1000
Sculpture Prize.
Details of this prize will also be announced at a later date.

EVENT
The committee are now accepting entries for events and exhibitions to take
place as part of ARTfest 2010.

planning to host an
exhibition or
other creative event you MUST return this form by 9th July.

FILM NEWS
OUTDOOR FILM NIGHT
Last year saw outdoor films come to the harbour as part of
Escape ARTfest and the Escape Arts Film Festival, presented by
Arcadia Twin Cinemas in Ulladulla.
Mark your diaries for Sunday 3rd Oct for the return of this
fabulous family-friendly event, including a FREE evening screening
and other activities to be announced soon!
A perfect opportunity to rug up and enjoy the spring night air.
PRIZE
NEWS
The committee are once again very pleased to offer a wide variety of
arts prizes as part of the festival. The prizes this year are all
based on the festival theme
REFLECT.
Entry is open to all who wish to enter, with all prizes offering a
variety of categories. This information and entry forms are now
available on the website.

ART NEWS
OPEN STUDIO TRAIL
We are seeking expressions of interest from studio owners (private
or commercial) to be part of an open studio trail on Saturday 9th
Oct, 2-4pm. Open your studio for a couple of hours and let the
public see inside the real world of the artist. Whether you're a
painter, potter, sculptor, multi-media or fibre artist, this event
will allow the world a glimpse into your creative space. Great
exposure for those looking to get known.

LITERATURE/GOURMET NEWS
One of the highlights of this years program will be an event at
Cupitt's Winery & Restaurant -
Chefs @ ARTfest.
This 'nose to tail' long table lunch will feature
published chefs including Rick Stein and Tom Kime, as
well as Cupitt's own head chef Russell Chinn.

Winter Arts Festival:
A Very Special Literary Lunch
for
See Change 2010
Gunyah Restaurant at Paperbark Camp on Woollamia Rd, is the
venue for a very special lunch on Monday 14 June (long weekend).
After a scrumptious Gunyah lunch, the speaker will be Philip
Bailey who hails from the Sthn Highlands, a delightful man and a
most engaging speaker. For about 20 years, Philip worked for and
travelled with one of the most famous violinists of the 20th
century - Yehudi Menuhin. He offers rare insights into the life,
personality and genius of the great violinist, along with many
amusing anecdotes, and has recently completed a definitive
biography of the man.

For several years Kingstudio was the official home of 'Sculpture in
the Forest', a premier event of the Escape ARTfest. The committee
extends our gratitude to owners Malcolm & Julie and wish them all
the best in their next 'era'.
