Catfish farming in the Mekong Delta is one of the largest freshwater aquaculture industries in the world. The project aims to develop and facilitate adoption of better management practices for catfish farming implemented through groups of small-scale farmers.
This project aims to reduce the perception of small-scale marine fish farmers that trash fish performs better as a food source than compounded feeds. The project will facilitate a transition away from dependence on trash fish to more sustainable alternatives.
This study is investigating genetic issues relevant to the aquaculture, stock enhancement and fisheries management of rohu.
