     Greetings Pastor2Youth.com Member/Subscriber,

     There is always new information to share about what is happening at Pastor2Youth.com. It is a joy to be able to share with all of you the exciting things happening and the new resources available to all users. I pray that you will find this information useful and will be blessed by the features and resources at Pastor2Youth.com that are intended to help you in your ministry to youth. Please allow me to share with you some news and announcements about the highlights, help, and resources at your disposal.

ANNOUNCING PASTOR2YOUTH.COM’S
ANNUAL "SEND A YOUTH WORKER
TO A YOUTH MINISTRY CONVENTION"

I am excited to announce this new apportunity that will take place on an annual basis at Pastor2youth.com. This was a great idea developed from some of the regular P2Y users and it is a joy for me to be able to announce it and share it with everyone.

On an annual basis, starting around January 1st of every year, I will take e-mail submissions from Youth Workers who would like to attend one of the annual Youth Ministry Conventions (such as the National Youth Worker's Convention OR the National Youth Ministry Conference), but cannot afford to go, to explain why they feel they are the most deserving of the scholarship money that will be raised that year to help offset their expenses.

This individual has already been chosen for this year. BUT, we need your help!!! We ALL know how tight money is when you work in Youth Ministry. We ALL realize that "every penny counts." Well, that is the idea here. I have set up a "Chip In" account on Pastor2youth.com to collect donations for the purpose of scholarshiping this individual for one the conventions this year. But, we need YOUR help!!!

You can donate funds to help this individual by either clicking on the "CHIP IN" graphic on the left-hand column of the homepage for pastor2youth.com, or by simply clicking this graphic:

You can note that ALL donations will be used SOLELY for this scholarship fund. This is why we set up "Chip In" so that everyone can track the progress and see how many people have contributed and how much has been raised so far.

Finally Back to Blogging!!!

After having a few months where I was MIA on my blog, I have resumed blogging on a regular basis. This is a great opportunity for me to share what God is doing in my personal life, ministry life, on pastor2youth.com, and so much more. It is a chance to share with others what is going on in my life and allow others to share with me how this impact them. Some posts are serious, some are light-hearted and fun.

Some GREAT New Resources at Simplyyouthministry.com !!!

The folks over at SimplyYouthMinistry.com have been working hard and cranking out some EXCELLENT new resources. There are some great new additions to their already amazing line of Youth Ministry resources, and I wanted to highlight a few that I recommend not only checking out, but purchasing and putting into your youth ministry library of resources.

Money. Sex. Pride. Drugs. Glory. The lure of temptation is strong, and all it takes is one bite to get hooked—sometimes for life. Temptation is everywhere! Even if you’re not experiencing temptation at this moment, it will be knocking at your door in no time.

Help your students get a big-picture perspective on how God wants to help them deal with temptation. And then follow up with some very practical steps they can take to prepare them to deal with tomorrow’s temptations and protect them for years to come.

This four-week series covers:
Identifying and dealing with temptation
The importance of positive friendships
God’s plan to help us break the cycle of temptation
How Jesus is the model for us to follow

#4) "Jr. High Play It"

Pulling up just short of backbends and pirouettes, Play It may be one of our most flexible super-series yet. Each of these messages can stand alone—by helping your students take a look at their language, their personal life, and their understanding of forgiveness. But with a theme of popular board games tying all these lessons together, it makes for an exciting three-week series with lots of built-in illustrations and activities. Great for a weekend retreat or camp, as well as a regular meeting or small group lesson. No matter how you decide to play it, students will never be able to look at board games the same way again!

Another reminder as well: You can personalize your password to make it easy to remember for the future. Once you log in, click on the "My Account" link in the left-hand column. Inside there, you will find a link titled "Change Your Info". If you click there, you can personalize as much of your account information as you would like, including the option at the bottom to change your password. Enter the new password twice and push save - then you don't have to worry about trying to keep track of, or remembering, that crazy automated password you received when you first registered at Pastor2Youth.com.
