The BajaInsider advises that all residents of Baja California Sur calmly move all preparation to completion for hurricane conditions. Forecasts for previous storm from this region such as Hurricane John, also predicted landfall of a Major Hurricane and delivered a Category 2. However, if forecasts do hold and Jimena makes landfall as a Category 4, it will be the most powerful storm ever to make landfall on Baja.

THE OUTER RAIN BANDS OF JIMENA WILL REACH CABO SAN LUCAS AFTER NOON TODAY. THE PACIFIC COAST OF BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR WILL BE CLOSEST TO THE MOST POWERFUL NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE STORM AS IT MOVES NORTH. RESIDENTS OF BAJA SUR SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR INCLEMENT WEATHER BEGINNING LATER TODAY.

We will of course, be hoping for the best for all residents of the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur.
