At Pastor2Youth.com I believe that NO Youth Worker is an “average” Youth Worker – you all are making an impact for the kingdom of God – and that is HUGE!!!

      Our feature called "In the Trenches" which interviews and highlights Youth Workers from around the world is continuing to moving forward. You can view our fifth interview with Allison Nahr, the full-time director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries in McLean, VA by scrolling down a little on the homepage. In addition, the "In the Trenches" Interview Archive is now active on the right-hand side of our homepage. Here you will be able to access both the current interview as well as all prior interviews. I encourage you to take some time to stop by and read these interviews. If you find something that touches your heart I encourage you to either e-mail the individual and share how you have been touched, or send the e-mail to me and I will pass it on to them for you.

     I am very excited to be able to highlight individuals who are "in the trenches" of youth ministry and working every day to impact the lives of students with the Gospel. It is always amazing to see how God is working in our lives and how He is working in different parts of the world - all for the same purpose - so that we may come to know HIM and know His saving Grace and Mercy.

     It is always exciting to have new ideas and new possibilities of resources to help one another out. This new one idea came from a friend of mine, Bob, who thought this would be a valuable resource that many youth pastors not only are interested in, but would utilize a ton. I agree, and so I have created a brand NEW YM Exchange category on Pastor2Youth.com for ILLUSTRATIONS!!!

     Do you have any awesome illustrations that you use, or love to use in your ministry? Do you have illustrations you have written, or one that you would be willing to write - personal testimonies, stories, events, etc.? If so, WE NEED YOU!!!

     We are looking to begin filling our YM Exchange Illustrations database with excellent illustrations that others can use in their teaching, their game time, their intro, or wherever else. Please take some time and submit these illustrations. Please submit them in a text format as an attachment, not the full illustration text on the site.

     REMINDER: All illustrations must be either copyright free, or have all documentation with permissions included on them. Please do NOT go to another website and "take" their illustrations to include on Pastor2Youth.com. If you have found an EXCELLENT illustration on another site, please consider submitting a LINK to their illustration along with a brief description of the illustration so others know what it is all about. Please note that the submitter of these resources is the individual held liable for any copyright violations of this type of material.

     We all look forward to the contributions that you can make to this NEW section!!!

     I want to begin by saying THANK YOU to those of you who have continued to faithfully submit resources and files to the YM Exchange. I have noticed that there are about three or four individuals who continue to keep the YM Exchange growing by faithfully submitting resources. But the fact is, WE NEED MORE!!!!

     There are now over 6,000 Subscribed Members to Pastor2Youth.com. This is extremely exciting to me. I know that there are so many of you that do such amazing things in your ministry. In talking with many of you I am constantly blessed by how creative you are and the ways in which you are using your gifts and talents to serve God. What a BLESSING it would be for so many individuals if you would share those gifts and talents with others!!!

     The YM Exchange has a wide variety of resource possibilities. This is my plea once again to ALL of you to please take a few minutes to look at your files, Bible studies, games, Powerpoint Files, Youth Group lessons, forms, creative ideas, illustrations, ANYTHING at all that you use and find helpful in your ministry. PLEASE take a minute to upload these files to the YM Exchange as you visit next time. We want to be blessed by the gifts and ideas that God has given to you!!!

     In case you don't realize it, there are two different options for uploading a file to the YM Exchange. First of all, you can upload it directly on the site when you are logged in by going to the YM Exchange and clicking on the "Add Resource" link there inside the YM Exchange. Secondly, you can e-mail me the files to be uploaded. All ownership and credit will be properly given to you regardless of which method you choose.

     So, here is my PLEA to all of you to take a couple minutes to find a resource that you would be willing to share with others. If even 1/2 of our membership would find ONE file to share, we would have over 3,000 NEW additions to the YM Exchange - how awesome would that be?

     Another reminder as well: You can personalize your password to make it easy to remember for the future. Once you log in, click on the "My Account" link in the left-hand column. Inside there, you will find a link titled "Change Your Info". If you click there, you can personalize as much of your account information as you would like, including the option at the bottom to change your password. Enter the new password twice and push save - then you don't have to worry about trying to keep track of, or remembering, that crazy automated password you received when you first registered at Pastor2Youth.com.
