On June 25th, 2009 Cereal Ingredients was named Governor's Exporter of the Year at the annual Kansas Cavalry Encampment Awards ceremony. There were five finalists for the annual exporting award and Leavenworth had two businesses in the final five, Cereal Ingredients and Great Western Manufacturing.
