October feels so MaGiCaL and always makes us hum James Taylor's Walkin' Man round the workshop/art studio -- "The frost is on the pumpkin, and the hay is in the barn...." Oct 1rst the Halloween decorations, all several dozen boxes of them, come out! This weekend we make our trek to hike the fields of Bates Nut Farm to pick out Halloween pumpkins and picnic under the ancient oak tree there. One of our favorite traditions, ...for then, and only then, has autumn truly arrived!
