HEY, AMERICA! IT'S TIME TO GET BROKEN!!!
***********************************************
That's right, US readers!
Today is the day you can finally get your
very own copy of BROKEN!
Woo-hoo! It's a broketopian bounty!

“This chilling mystery is just begging to be
read in one sitting” --Cosmo

WHAT IF I WANT A SIGNED COPY?
***********************************************
I'm glad you asked! I just happen to be
touring across the country over the next
two weeks, and I'd love for y'all to come
see me in Nashville, Fairhope, Atlanta,
Uncasville, Scottsdale, San Francisco,
Houston, and/or Pittsburgh.
You can find tour info here:
http://www.karinslaughter.com/appearances.shtml
***********************************************
BUT I DON'T WANT TO GO TO HOUSTON,
WHERE IT IS 9,000 DEGREES!!!
***********************************************
Please feel free to call any of the stores I
am visiting if you want a signed copy but
can't bring yourself to actually come out
and see me, even though I am flying
eleventy-billion miles to see you.
Seriously, it won't hurt my feelings at all that
you are depriving yourself of my sparkling
presence.
***********************************************
WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD?!?!
***********************************************
Dutch readers can find Verbroken in stores
July 1st
UK, Irish, Australian, Kiwi and various
non-US English readers can find Broken
on July 8th
Also…
I don't have any formal events in London, but
I will be dropping into some stores to sign
books. If you want something personalized,
you can call Hatchard's, Waterstone's Piccadilly
or WH Smith Selfridges. Please note these are
not formal events, so I will just be breezing in
and out as time permits.
If y'all want to see me in person, I will be at the
Harrogate Crime Festival on July 24th, where
fellow author and all around good pal Mark
Billingham will interview me.
Tickets are available here:

WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER REST OF
THE VERWORLD?!?!
***********************************************
In September, I am going to be in Holland and
Germany. I know I've got a cool event in
Amsterdam the night of the 4th (planned by my
friends at the CPNB) but that's the only thing I
know for sure that I'm doing, so watch your local
papers or call my publisher, de VerBezige Bij.
In Germany, I'll be attending the Hamburg Harbor
Front Festival, the Berlin Literary Festival, and
speaking at bookstores in Ahlen, Hanover,
Cologne, and Munich.
Check here closer to September for details:

WHAT ABOUT OUR BELOVED ANIMALS
WE EXPLOITED FOR PRIZES?!?!?
***********************************************
Yes, yes, I know. It's always about YOU.
The winner of the KARIN SLAUGHTER'S
TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR PET READING
ONE OF MY BOOKS CONTEST is:
Pam McCoy from Acworth
Congratulations, Pam!
I hope this makes it worthwhile that Bogart
is no longer speaking to you. Soon, you will
receive an autographed copy of Broken to help
shield yourself from the hateful glares.
The winner, runners up, and special mentions can
be seen here:

A note on the abundance of alcohol in these
photos: I understand when cats are involved
that sometimes nip just doesn't get it, but
dogs imbibing is quite another thing, especially
when you let them get behind the wheel of a
car. Let's show some good judgment, people.
***********************************************
WHAT ELSE?!?!
***********************************************
Why are you still reading this?! You should be
out getting your very own copy of BROKEN, or
at the very least mapping out your driving route
so you can come see me on my tour!
BROKEN: go get you some!
***********************************************
“Broken is superbly crafted, relentlessly plot-
driven and populated with admirably flawed
characters; it is perhaps the best of the series
thus far, and that is high praise indeed!”
-BookPage (chosen as Mystery of the Month)

THAT'S IT FOR NOW!

If you no longer wish to be on my newsletter
mailing list then click the unsubscribe link
below. And I hope you end up trapped at the
Houston airport with no air-conditioning and
nothing to read except a five year-old copy of
People magazine. And, FYI, Brad and Jennifer
do not end up getting back together.
